Charles W. Showalter
Charles is an attorney with Fulton, Martin & Andres, P.C., practicing primarily in workers’ compensation and Social Security disability. After growing up in Ely, Iowa, Charles graduated cum laude from Coe College in 2008 with a B.A. degree, and was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa honorary society. He then studied at the University of Iowa College of Law where he served as the Senior Articles Editor for the Journal of Corporation Law, represented his school as a member of the College of Law’s Jessup Moot Court International Team, and earned public service distinction. During his last two years of law school, Charles also clerked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa. After graduating from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2011 with a J.D. degree, Charles worked at Bradley & Riley, P.C., where he practiced primarily in the areas of commercial litigation and employment litigation, representing employers and insurers. He joined Fulton, Martin & Andres, P.C. in 2013 and has represented injured and disabled Iowans since. In his free time, Charles enjoys hunting, ultra-endurance cycling, and competitive archery.
Charles is a member of the Iowa Association of Justice, Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group, National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives, Iowa State Bar Association, and Black Hawk County Bar Association.
Since 2011, Charles has been admitted to practice in Iowa state courts, U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
